Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. My mom has always been an inspiration to me, and I’m always excited to spend a day celebrating her. It’s so perfect that Mother’s Day falls in the spring – it’s the best time for bouquets of flowers, big hats, and afternoon tea. Which is basically our plan for the perfect Mother’s Day every year.
Mother’s Day Style
If you’ve been reading here for very long, you know I love to get inspiration from the season and surroundings when I chose my clothes. So, for Mother’s Day style, I’m looking for bright colors, flowers, and flowy material. This flower dress from Eliza J is the perfect look!
I love the halter look on this dress and the flower pattern.
A nude heel is the perfect pairing for this bold dress. I currently have this Nadya heel sitting in my online cart (if not already sold out), and I think today’s the day I buy them. I like that this heel only has two simple straps. As I’ve been organizing my closet this season, I’ve found myself drawn to simplicity.
Hats are a must for spring and summer, and if you don’t have a wide brimmed hat in your closet, now is the time to get one! I’m wearing mine to the beach, to visit the parks in Portland, and I’m definitely wearing it on Mother’s Day when my mom and I sit in the garden and enjoy the gorgeous spring weather we are having in the Pacific Northwest this year.
If you are having a casual celebration for your mom this year, these scalloped shorts would be perfect! I love the tied waist, it’s so classic. Pair these with a simple white shirt, and some sandals, and you are good to go!
What are you wearing for Mother’s Day this year?
XOXO,
