Introducing The Amazon Echo Look
Have you heard about the Amazon Echo Look? It’s a new Echo device that is currently only available by invitation. I was able to snag an invitation, and I’ve been testing out the Echo Look for a couple of weeks. I haven’t been able to try all of the features yet, but I couldn’t wait to share some of my first impressions with you.
Amazon Echo Look
The Amazon Echo Look is an Alexa-enabled camera that acts as your personal style assistant. With the Echo Look you are able to take pictures and videos hands-free just by telling Alexa to capture the shot.
The camera has built-in LED lighting and automatically blurs the background of your images. This means, not only is your outfit the star of the shot, you don’t have to worry about setting up a special backdrop when you want to chronicle your outfit or have the Echo Look do a quick style check to compare two possible outfits.
On the Alexa front, the Echo Look does almost everything other Alexa devices can do. It can stream music, check the weather, and connect to internet-connected devices to control your smart home, and more.
I’ve primarily been using my Echo Look to take pictures for blog posts and social media. I’m not having to make a lot of adjustments on my shots (yay, automatic blur), but I do use an app to crop square for Instagram. In addition to pictures, the Echo Look can also take 6-second videos, perfect for getting a 360-degree look at your outfit.
More Amazon Echo Look Features
Style Check is one of the special features I’m looking forward to testing more. This is where the personal stylist comes in – you take pictures of yourself in two different outfits, and the Style Check feature will give you a recommendation for which outfit you should wear.
You can also use the images and videos you take to create Look Books. This is a great way to catalogue your styles and share your collections with friends.
More Amazon Echo Look love is sure to come as I start building my own Look Books and testing the other features. What questions do you have about the Echo Look? Leave them in the comments!
XOXO,
