One of my low stress goals for this year is making more meals at home. To help me accomplish this goal, I needed a few new kitchen tools, and today I’m going to share my favorite with you: the NutriBullet Pro+. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s making eating at home so much easier.

NutriBullet has been around for a while now, they have a large line of machines from the Magic Bullet to full-size blenders and juicers. I decided to go with the NutriBullet Pro+ because I wanted a small-sized blender with enough power to handle large chunks of food and even ice. With a 1200 Watt motor, pre-programmed pulse cycle and auto shut-off, the NutriBullet Pro+ hit everything on my list.
I also love that you can screw the to-go lid on the cup, and drink it without making a glass dirty. Clean up in general is pretty easy with this blender. I give the blade a quick wash with soap and water after use, and then toss the cups in the top rack of my dishwasher. And then I tuck the base away in the cabinet, after I’m finished using it, and don’t have to worry about it taking up a lot of space.
What I’m Making With The NutriBullet Pro+
Along with making more meals at home, I’m trying to bring more healthy foods into my daily routine. One easy and fun way to do that is by making smoothies!
My Favorite Green Breakfast Smoothie (This Week)
This smoothie recipe is packed with protein and important nutrients. And even though it comes out green, it doesn’t have an overwhelming veggie taste. You just add all of the following ingredients into the NutriBullet Pro+ and blend for about 60 seconds.
- 1 cup spinach or other leafy greens
- 1 banana, frozen
- ½ cup unsweetened oat milk
- 1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
If you want this smoothie a little sweeter, you can also add a bit of honey.
I love including chia seeds because they are so good for health. They have a lot of fiber and protein and are full of antioxidants. They are also a great way to add some extra omega-3s into your diet.
More Blender Recipes Are Coming
I’ve been experimenting with smoothies (so you can expect some fun smoothie recipes in future blog posts), including testing some more veggies smoothies. I’ve also found a recipe for a coffee smoothie (with yogurt and cinnamon and other great ingredients) I’m excited to try.
With the cold weather, it’s the perfect time for soups, so I’ll be trying those this month, too. The NutriBullet Pro+ is also supposed to be great for salsas and dips, but I haven’t had a chance to try those out yet.
As you can see, I’m very excited about this new blender. It’s really going to help me slow down on those take-out orders in 2021. Ha! And I love how easy it is to make really delicious recipes that are healthy. If you have a favorite smoothie or soup recipe, share it in the comments. I’d love to give it a try!
XOXO,
