It’s one of my favorite times of the year – early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening now. I plan ahead for this sale every year. I’m always ready to shop the day they open up early access for cardmembers. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you will be able to take advantage of the anniversary sale July 20-August 5.
Get Ready For The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018
I had three major items on my list for the anniversary sale this year, and I’m going to share some of my favorite picks for each one with you today. These are classic pieces that you will be able to wear a lot in the fall.

Cardigans
Cozy fall days call for cardigans, and I can never have too many!
- Stitch Curve Hem Cardigan: I love the lines of this cardigan. It’s big and slouchy, which makes it so very comfortable, but the curved hem counteracts the slouch so it doesn’t look overwhelming, even with the pockets. I had a hard time choosing between green botanical and brown cattail, but in the end, the green won.
- Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Cardigan: This cardigan is so soft and cozy, I want to wear it every day. You have four color choices, but I love the amethyst the most.
- Michael Stars Draped Hooded Cardigan: There are no pockets on this one, but I forgive it because of the hood. The material is super lightweight and stretchy, and I like the option of using the tie to cinch the waist.

Booties
Because you can never have too many booties in fall.
- Blondo Lanka Waterproof Bootie: I love the classic clean lines and slight heel on this bootie.
- Sam Edelman Maurine Bootie: For the days when I want a taller heel, this is going to be my go-to pair of booties. I love the buckle detail and the tassel on the zipper pull.
- Franco Sarto Spectra Bootie: I needed a new pair of booties with a pointy toe, and I’m so excited to have found these. The cone-shaped heel is probably my favorite detail. They have suede options, but I went with the black leather.

Colorblock Sweaters
This fall is all about big, bold color choices.
- BP Mock Neck Colorblock Sweater: This sweater is so cozy! It comes in a great range of sizes, so you can go a little big if you want a slouchy look, or go with your usual size for a more fitted look. I love this with comfortable jeans and booties.
- Eileen Fisher Colorblock Sweater: The blues and greys of this sweater are so relaxing. I love that it’s thin and lightweight. I will probably start wearing this in the evenings before we even hit fall, because it isn’t too hot.
- Halogen Colorblock Cashmere Poncho: I know this isn’t a sweater, but it does fit with my colorblock theme, and I couldn’t resist it!
